Death of Me

Written by Jacob Keplinger

Everybody’s goin’
Back to the barnyard
And everybody’s workin’
Workin’ hard for free
And I can see the future
I’ve seen where we’re goin’
And everything we’re after
Is coming back to me
To me
Me

Everybody’s lookin’
For a shot at redemption
But everybody’s lackin’
Lackin’ what they need
And I can see the picture
A movie showing
The life that I’m after
Could be the death of me
Of me
Me

I’m looking at my death now
(Five hundred feet off the ground, now)
Surviving it somehow
(I’m here but feeling so lost now)
My love is a delicacy
But inside is nothing but jealousy
My heart will be

I can be the master
A lord of expansion
In charge of a future
That belongs to me
So everybody’s moving
Back to the barnyard
And that’ll be the victory
That finally sets me free
I’m free
Free

I’m bypassing death now
(Five hundred feet off the ground, now)
Surviving it somehow
(I’m here but feeling so lost now)
My love is a delicacy
But inside is nothing but jealousy
My heart will be the death of me
