In August 2017, Justin and I moved into a townhouse on Mercury Boulevard in Murfreesboro, where we set up our first iteration of Pink Hat Records and ultimately wrote the majority of the tracks that would appear on this album and Wilma. Everything was possible- every limitation presented to us with the dorm room was now eliminated, and we had free reign to make whatever the hell we wanted. We experimented with time signatures, with recording techniques, and for the first time in my life I noticed a shift forward with my songwriting skills. It felt like every idea was on the table here. Nothing but love on these tracks.
