The pandemic carries on, but the combination of citizen efforts with the warm summer heat gave way to a great dip in COVID-19 cases across the state, and it gave us the excuse we needed to get back in the same room once again. We had ideas for a second album (thanks to Buford, this would now become our third), and they carried through here: more odd-time signatures, shorter songs with less jamming, proggier attitudes across all three instruments. We spent our free time listening to Mahavishnu Orchestra and Chick Corea Elektric Band, as well as Rush, Frank Zappa, and King Gizzard. It all bled through. These songs are a whiplash of experimentation, a raw jump into the unknown on a paralyzing time crunch. We had no idea if we were going to be sent back into isolation, or when. But the flame carried on, and we recorded what is likely our most oddball LP to date. It's exactly as described; on this one, we've definitely gone wild.
