Every now and then you get an idea so potent that it spawns an entire new world of ideas within it, the kind of idea you can't stop thinking about even years after you've first dreamed it. For me, that is what you're hearing on this record. Through the three studio albums we released as New Threads in Nashville, we found a voice, and that voice wanted to jam. And jam, it shall; here we have given ourselves the perfect playground, the ideal space to explore our burning desire to improvise. It all started from an improvised jam back in November 2019, the day before the hard drive we recorded it on crashed. We may have lost the recording, but we did not lose the idea. Instead of dying out, it persevered through seven tracks, and in the process led to the creation of an entire band that wouldn't be realized until a year later. This album started it all, and it's even got Jackson playing the trumpet on "Bongo!" It's a new sound; handle with care.
