After our self-titled album released, Dan and Nick both left the band for various reasons which resulted in Justin and I holding open auditions for the roles of bassist and lead guitarist. After an initial jam session, it was clear that we'd found our match in Jake Burdock and Eric Chalifour. To kick off a summer of shows with the new lineup, we recorded and released "Alone Leave, Me" and "Monuments" as a double single in early July '18. Nobody expected the former to be featured in Spotify's New Music Friday playlist, gaining us tens of thousands of new listeners overnight. This resulted in Weezer's former manager reaching out to us with hopes of landing a major record deal. She prompted us to record any additional new tracks we had for her to shop around to potential labels. But after many months passed and she became harder and harder to reach, we ultimately decided to release it ourselves with no pre-release announcement on New Year's Day 2019. This is the sound of a band on the road, a band rolling with the punches but enjoying it anyway.
